How Should I Put My Toddler To Bed: Build A Routine
Every night the same problem arises. After dinner is finished, and the dishes are put away, I begin to wonder, "how should i
put my toddler to bed?" At night children become so tired and difficult. Different children act in different ways when they get to that
point.
Some children get very hyper and start running around the house. Some children get very cranky and throw temper tantrums. Some
children just fall asleep in any location in the house. You may find them behind the sofa, or under the kitchen table, curled up with their
bottle and their blanket or their favorite stuffed animal. There are a few children out there that willingly go to bed at a reasonable hour, but
those are few and far between.
The best thing for putting your toddler in bed is establishing up a routine. If you are consistent with your sleep routine you
may not find your self wondering, "how should i put my toddler to bed?" so often. Pick a time and make that bedtime. Then, go up stairs, brush
Junior's teeth, tuck him in, read a story, make sure that there are no monsters under the bed, and say good night.
It may be exciting for your child to have special bedding. The bed is a special place. Good sleep leads to good growth and
higher brain function. You want your child to feel safe in bed. People are at their most vulnerable when they are sleeping, and children are
aware of that. Themed bedding may make bedtime much easier. Princess bedding or nascar crib bedding are a few options. Pick something your child
will enjoy.
Even if you set up a good routine at home, you may still encounter problems when you are traveling. Traveling is exciting for
children and toddlers, and often times increases their dislike of sleep. You could invest in toddler travel beds. A good toddler travel bed will
ensure good sleep, which on the road is even more important than at home.
So if you find your self wondering "how should i put my toddler to bed?" there are a number of things to consider. Like
adults, every child is an individual. The best plan is to be consistent. Children, baby's and infant like stability.
